A Night and a Day in London

(A Poem)

This is my entry (as SheBlogger) in the past week Poetry Stuffage in Goodreads, for the topic "London Kiss".
The poll is still up and I don't think it's going to win. But I'm posting it here just the same, to share it with you... Hope you like it:)

One night in London, we lie awake

As if counting every breath we take
Staring into each other’s eyes
Silently saying what the heart cries

Inch by inch, we fill the gap

Slow, but certain not to stop
Till there’s no more empty space
Finally, we were face to face

Eyes to eyes, nose to nose

We were so divinely close
Apprehensive and unmoving
Marveling, disbelieving

The our lips began to quiver

Sending heat and we shiver
Taking in each other’s breath
Sweet like a million flowers’ wreath

Lips touched, then pressed

Feeling so very blessed
Having tasted such bliss
Endlessly, that night, we kissed

All night… till daybreak… till noon

Such a lovely London afternoon
Knowing neither hunger, nor pain
Letting our love, in kisses, rain.
