Love Lost and Yet to be Found

(A Poem)

You say you still love me

Screaming my name in the night

I say I still love you

But I still remember how I screamed

Screamed in pain…in fright

You say your love has not changed

All the mushy feelings never left

I’m sorry I can’t say the same

I had to let go of the feelings

And they have not come back yet

I’m afraid some of the love is lost

And I haven’t found it yet again

There’s still too much pain and fear

Of loving and losing…and hanging

Of never really being…
