(A Poem for Senator Tito Sotto)
I've already posted this in my other blog...my apologies for the double
post. But I really want to spread my sentiments about this sanctimonious
arrogant senator.
This is a poem I've written as an open letter
to Philippine Senator Tito Sotto, who belittled bloggers in general. As a
blogger/writer, I feel strongly about plagiarism. More than that, I
feel strongly about denigrating any occupation. It doesn't really matter if it is a blogger, a published or self-published writer... At least, we are writing the piece ourselves.
But this self-righteous arrogant senator, when discovered that his
staff copy-pasted paragraphs from several bloggers for his speech, still
had the nerve to say,
“Bakit ko iku-quote yung blogger? Blogger lang yun!” (Why should I quote the blogger? She’s just a blogger!)
So here’s a piece of my mind, as a blogger… Pardon me, I had to write
it in my mother tongue because the issue is very close to my heart.
